As it turns out, Post #300 came and went a few days ago.

Technically, I have 294 public posts, and a handful of private ones. Most of those private ones were written early in the evolution of my blog. I went back through them last night, and decided that I’ll be making some of them public over the next few days.

In the meantime, I’ve accidentally started something of a tradition with my “mile marker” posts. For #100 and #200 both, I wrote lists of things about myself. I’m going to continue the tradition.

So here’s my newest 50:

1. 18 months goes by faster than I ever believed possible.
2. 18 months goes by slower than I ever believed possible.
3. For the first time in my life, I do think people can change.
4. Cool Mint Oreos taste funny.
5. I eat them anyway, because I love mint.
6. Also chocolate, which goes without saying.
7. I never believed I would remarry, but I did.
8. I never believed I would write in a blog that my family reads, but I do.
9. I never believed I would want another child, but I do.
10. I still hate the color green.
11. Rhett thinks the color green looks good on me.
12. Moving sucks.
13. Moving across country three times in ten months sucks more.
14. Con artists don’t look like con artists. They look like people.
15. I graduated from high school in 1996.
16. I graduated a year early because I skipped my freshman year.
17. I graduated from college in 2001.
18. I graduated a year late because I changed colleges three times.
19. I will be attending Catholic adult education classes later this year.
20. I have less trouble with the idea of being eventually straight (again) than I thought I might.
21. There is no such thing as too much coffee.
22. I have never considered myself to be unusually petite. Apparently, I am.
23. My favorite color is still red.
24. My favorite sound has been upgraded from Sharkman laughing, to Sharkman and Rhett, laughing together.
25. My second favorite sound is either of them, laughing alone.
26. After swearing up and down that I’d never have another cat, I have another cat.
27. My first dog, Darby, died in January, 2009.
28. She was 12 years old.
29. My second puppy, Moose, just turned 5 months old.
30. Sharkman is only 11 inches shorter than me, now.
31. I wear flats more days than I wear heels, now.
32. I can’t decide if I’m going to get one Master’s degree, or two.
33. I know I want one more child.
34. I think I might want two.
35. Florida was the weirdest place I ever lived.
36. Georgia was the prettiest place I ever lived.
37. I don’t want to stay in New Mexico forever anymore.
38. I’m glad I came back, though.
39. I can’t imagine ever being friends with another boss.
40. I hate being a cliche or being generalized in any way, shape or form.
41. I’m in lust with a pair of Justin boots.
42. I don’t like Justin boots.
43. I’m a housewife (kind of) again for the first time since I was married to Janus.
44. I think I should look different than I did in college, but I don’t, really.
45. My maternal instinct sometimes gets the best of my better judgement.
46. My overdeveloped sense of responsibility gets me into more bad situations than any other personality trait.
47. The sound of Janus’s voice on the phone makes my stomach hurt.
48. I hate elastic waistbands.
49. Flies are one of the most disgusting insects.
50. I’ve run out of things to tell you about me.
